Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American dancer, actress and vocalist since the mid 1990s. The first Broadway parts include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. Annaleigh is a collaborator on projects with award-winning director, actors and producers throughout the course of her professional career. Ashford's upcoming project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC in the form of an Hulu Original. Ashford, who will appear as Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton director Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the leading the show. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the crisis which swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key characters in the first impeachment proceedings in America for more than a century. Ashford starred for two seasons in CBS hit comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role as Essie. Also, she has performed on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original part in the role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for an Tony Award. Born and raised in Denver Ashford currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
